South Park Creators announce the purchase of Casa Bonita
Announced live during an interview with Colorado Governor, Jared Polis.

The two Colorado-based icons have now become synonymous.
During a live interview held by Colorado Governor Jared Polis, South Park Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker (who both grew up in Colorado and met attending CU Boulder) made a major announcement.
The interview was billed as a celebration of the 24th anniversary of the show. Stone and Parker used the interview to announce they were in the final stages of negotiating an agreement with Casa Bonita owner, Robert Wheaton. This agreement is contingent upon working a deal out with the bankruptcy court.
The South Park creators also recently signed a huge deal totaling $900 million with ViacomCBS that will extend the show for a minimum of 6 more seasons and create a whopping 14 movies, which will be exclusive to ViacombCBS’s Paramount+ streaming service.
There is also speculation of another real-world spin-off from the foul-mouthed Colorado-based show. There are now rumors that some new marijuana dispensaries might be opened based on the “Tegerdy” marijuana business in the animated series.
