Hi Jason - Could you clarify your comment "We have a 500 year natural disaster here every two years". I am aware of the 2013 flood and the 2020 fires. And of course, the Covid pandemic has gone on for more than two years. In the history of the Town, we have had several floods including the 1976 Big Thompson flood and the 1982 Lawn Lake flood. Heya Sybil, I guess I can best explain my comment by saying a podcast really is a recorded conversation, with the same sort of emphasis at times as you would find in a conversation with a friend. While we do not actually experience a 500 year natural disaster every two years, it can at times living through the ones we have that it seems like we are seeing a major event every couple of years.
I appreciate your efforts. I was making that comment to try to bring you back to the idea that you claim to be a journalist and you should apply some journalistic standards to all your work - including the conversations you have on your podcast.
